After a summer of wild prints and bright neon colors, the Fall 2013 collections come as a more subdued and elegant change.

Colors like soft apricot, paprika, and cognac are warm tones that flatter as the weather turns colder, as are metallic finishes in shades of gold and silver. Burgundy is also the new “IT” color this season as is Teal and Juniper. Grey, Brown and Black offer a neutral background for all the various themes that are in style!

Plaid, tartan and herringbone tweed in modern silhouettes are also very important this Fall. Prints are still a key item but this season they are no longer screaming for attention. They are now in a variety of earthy colors, camouflage print or in a neutral tone on tone, such as a garden in various shades of grey. Fur trim or feathers are opulent additions to everything from sweaters and coats to shirts and dresses. Jackets are once again short but some longer ones did make a small appearance on the catwalks and pants are still narrow or for the more daring skinny and body clinging.
